Then on Sunday I get to have even more fun with the Twin City Bridal Association at the MN Convention Center.  They are holding the "Engagement Party" event where they are GIVING AWAY a posh wedding to some lucky couple.  It's a $150 thousand dollar wedding!!  Plus, it's all done by the Wedding Guys so it is always spectacular and covered by the press.  They just won a major award for a recent wedding they gave away so you know it will be awesome.  I get to draw the winner and so it's really fun for me to give the big news!

If you are getting married, you HAVE to be there!  How can you miss the chance for a free wedding??  Check out the website to see photos from the past weddings they have given away.

Here are a few photos that I took from the last Trend Wedding (I was THRILLED to be invited).  My pictures just don't do it justice though.

    What Was She THINKING?????

Oh, my goodness!  This story is incredible.

Hang Mioku before cosmetic surgery ruined her appearance Photo: Saigo-Sinopix / Rex Features

Hang Mioku, now 48, had her first plastic surgery procedure when she was 28; hooked from the beginning she moved to Japan where she had further operations - mostly to her face.

Eventually the surgeons she visited refused to carry out any more work on her and one suggested that her obsession could be a sign of a psychological disorder.

Amazingly, she found a doctor who was willing to give her silicone injects and, what's more, he then gave her a syringe and silicone of her own so she could self-inject.

When her supply of silicone ran out Hang resorted to injecting cooking oil into her face.

As Hang's notoriety spread she was featured on Korean TV. Viewers seeing the report took mercy on her and sent in enough donations to enable her to have surgery to reduce the size of her face.

During the first procedure surgeons removed 60g of foreign substance from Hang's face and 200g from her neck.

The Photo Dez Didn't Want Me To Take plus Great Art & Pics!

Wednesday, November 12, 2008, 04:31 PM CST [General]

This morning Moon and I interviewed some families who are a part of our KS95 for Kids each Spring.  One family has two little girls who are 7 and 3.  The 3 year old, Lily, is a silly little girl who has cerebral palsy.  Lily's big sister is Kaeli.  Kaeli made me some fabulous art today!

    It's her cat!

After meeting Lily and Kaeli we got to meet JR and his family.  JR is 12 and quite the powerhouse.  He has congenital myopathy, which is a fancy word for muscle weakness throughout the body.  He is really bright and fun to talk to.  Here were are with his dad, Jesse, and his soon-to-be step mom, Christine.

Here's my catty Phoebe!  She's got an attitude.

And now, the photo Dez didn't want me to take!  We are in the studio on the air and she just got back from working out and is in the production studio next door.  She thinks she is going to beat me up for taking the picture...but she is a weakling!

"You cannot crush me, Dezzy!  Your biceps are puny!  Mwooooah ah ah ah!!!!!!!!!"

One Half Inch...And My Dreams Are Dashed!

Monday, November 10, 2008, 09:36 AM CST [General]

I spent a couple of hours on Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe.  The Rockettes were there!  They were performing their show across the street at the Target Center.  A lot of families came in for lunch before the show.  There were lots of little girls all dressed up to go to the theater and they were thrilled to see the dancers up close!  They were very sparkly and fun.  The dancers couldn't have been sweeter.  They talked with everyone and took photos and the little girls were just in awe.  I got some bad news though.  To be a Rockette, you have to be at least 5'6" tall.  I am only 5' and 5 1/2" tall...so my dream of being a Rockette is dashed.  Of course, I can't dance either so that might have been an obstacle too.

Meet the lovely ladies who came to the Hard Rock to meet us!
