I finally decided where to go on vacation....but I think I will keep that destination a secret for now.
I'm still hanging in there with the Post State Fair Detox Program. My pinched nerve kept me from cardio but I am not going to force myself into further injury. I am planning to do a LOT of moving around where I am going so I am sure to make up for the 2 days I missed. The challenge will be to find healthy food where I am going. That will be the true test of my will. Luckily, Tony is on board too. He's got a superfast metabolism and is an active person but his job has him behind a desk a lot lately. Every night after working the show at the Fair I brought him home State Fair treats. He's gained a few more than he is comfortable with too so we are in the same boat. He says he will knock the fries out of my hand if I try to eat 'em! HA!
Please take good care of Moon and new producer iPat for me. If my phone works where I am going I may check in with the show or have iPat post photos on my blog for me.
See you on September 15th!
Not going here - YIKES!
Not going here either....
Am I going here???? No, but I might get that outfit!
I had a workout this morning and feel even stronger now. Yay!
I woke up this morning with a nasty pinched nerve in my neck. I can't turn my head to the right so I have my friend Jess the massage therapist coming over tonight for an emergency rub. It's pretty hard to drive but luckily I look left for most things at work.
I neglected to mention one important thing about the Post State Fair Detox Diet to lose the 8 pounds from deep fried everything....gotta count those calories. 1400 calories per day of unprocessed, low fat, naturally tasty food.
Don't know if I will be able to get my 30 minutes of cardio in today with this pinched nerve business but I will make up for it on Saturday.
All next week I will be out on vacation. It might be tough, but I still plan to stick to the Post Fair Detox.

The good news: I am not as sore today as I was yesterday so I don't walk like Frankenstein. The bad news: I have another workout tomorrow with my trainer, who I affectionately call "The Frau"!
Moonie is out today so it's very weird in the studio. I hope he feels better and can be here tomorrow - although I enjoy the quiet.
I'm trying to cook instead of relying on frozen ready-made meals. They seem to be more satisfying but I'm running out of clever ways to make chicken!
Maybe a portabello mushroom sandwich tonight before the cardio....

Ok, the truth is, I gained 8 (count 'em) 8 pounds from eating "meals" and treats at the Fair for 9 days. UGH! That's a pants size and then some! So, today I am back on the "good girl" wagon. No more junk food, no more slacking.
I saw my personal trainer today for the first time in weeks. (I'm already sore!) I feel better already though. I had a lot of stress and aggression that I left with every push up I did. I think once I get back to my regular workouts and return to eating nutritional food I will feel a lot better. (I have been feeling a little crazy lately - like a tiger stuck in a cage that's too small and repeatedly being poked with a stick....maybe more like a monkey in a cage.)

DAY TWO!
It's going great!
I feel healthier already!
However, my workout yesterday has me hobbling around like an old man! (You should see me try to descend the stairs - hilarious!) But I won't let it deter me from my 30 minutes of cardio tonight....afterall, America's Next Top Model premieres tonight and the RNC has Sarah Palin speaking so there will be plenty to entertain me on the elliptical.
Meanwhile, in my chubby state I continue to wear skirts and dresses and endure the constant "Why are you so dressed up today?" question. I'd like to answer, "Why? Did I look like a hobo yesterday?!" but instead I just smile and say, "Cuz I'm just that fabulous!" Then everyone laughs....I didn't know it was funny!
Anybody else up for some clean living too? I've added another thing to the list of do's:
Avoid processed foods (they are evil)
30 minute of cardio a day, 5 times a week
Drink at least 8 glasses of water
Weight lifting twice a week (or more if you feel like it)
