The day after I returned from Aruba, I took a triop with my fellow KS95 Staffers up to Madden's for the weekend.  It was rainy and chilly but we wouldn't let that stop us from having fun anyway.  Melissa did a fine job driving the boat.  Dez was first mate.

Poor Ryan was outnumbered as the only guy on the boat with a bunch of us girls but we needed someone to do the heavy lifting so...what are you gonna do?  HA!

Me with KS95 Listener Amy (left) and her friend, Stacy.  Amy hooked me up with this awesome restaurant, Passions, where you dine on the beach and watch the sunset.  It's very romantic and the food and service were amazing.  Amy is on her 18th trip to Aruba now and she is a ROCKSTAR at this place.  I'm dropping her name again, man!

Eww!!  Sea snake!  It was actually very pretty and colorful but I was not getting any closer to take this photo!

Going on vacation and trying to maintain a healthy diet was a tall order.  I managed to do quite well in Aruba but it was the airport that got me!  We flew at wee hours so options were limited and I caved and ate a few not-so-great-for-me things.  I'm not going to beat myself up about it though because I did a LOT of walking and swimming while we were there.  Over the weekend we had a station retreat where I kind a blew it too.  But, it's all behind me now and I am back on the wagon again. 

Saw my trainer this morning.  Frau Spottke put me through the ringer!  It was nice to see her again though.  She is my inspiration to keep up.  I don't feel like myself and I have less energy and I am stiff when I get out of bed in the morning.  I HATE that!  If I get home before dark I hope to try out a run tonight.  I'm nervous about my hamstring but I can't sit on the sidelines forever.  If its too dark I'll be on the elliptical watching TV.  The Biggest Loser starts tonight and I'm inspired by people brave enough to lose a lot of weight in front of millions on TV.  If they can do it, I can manage a measly 10 pounds.  Right?

It was hot and sunny and awesome!  Great place to visit if you love the sunshine and the water.  I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Hey everybody!

I finally decided where to go on vacation....but I think I will keep that destination a secret for now.

I'm still hanging in there with the Post State Fair Detox Program.  My pinched nerve kept me from cardio but I am not going to force myself into further injury.  I am planning to do a LOT of moving around where I am going so I am sure to make up for the 2 days I missed.  The challenge will be to find healthy food where I am going.  That will be the true test of my will.  Luckily, Tony is on board too.  He's got a superfast metabolism and is an active person but his job has him behind a desk a lot lately.   Every night after working the show at the Fair I brought him home State Fair treats.  He's gained a few more than he is comfortable with too so we are in the same boat.  He says he will knock the fries out of my hand if I try to eat 'em!  HA!

Please take good care of Moon and new producer iPat for me.  If my phone works where I am going I may check in with the show or have iPat post photos on my blog for me.

So far, so good.

I had a workout this morning and feel even stronger now.  Yay! 

I woke up this morning with a nasty pinched nerve in my neck.  I can't turn my head to the right so I have my friend Jess the massage therapist coming over tonight for an emergency rub.  It's pretty hard to drive but luckily I look left for most things at work.

I neglected to mention one important thing about the Post State Fair Detox Diet to lose the 8 pounds from deep fried everything....gotta count those calories.  1400 calories per day of unprocessed, low fat, naturally tasty food. 

Don't know if I will be able to get my 30 minutes of cardio in today with this pinched nerve business but I will make up for it on Saturday.

All next week I will be out on vacation.  It might be tough, but I still plan to stick to the Post Fair Detox.
