I was lucky enough to introduce myself to Tim Gunn today while I was out at Herbergers with Goodwill. He is exactly who he is on TV. Very gentlemanly, poised, calm. I think he is fabulous and I love his voice. He's pretty funny too. He was so kind to me that I am now turning into a weird superfan. I am probably going to get his book. After the show I'll run over to Herbergers to see if I can catch him and have him sign my book for me.
I'm trying to cut back on my carbohydrates and I didn't bring enough snacks. I am starving! I've had an energy drink too and now I feel a little craaazy! I'm kind of craving coffee. Can you believe it? While I was in the Dominican Republic I heard that it is rude to refuse coffee if you are offered it so I accepted it. I had half a cup then filled the rest with milk and sugar. It tasted like General Foods International Coffee! And I was drinking it in another country too...I ended up having it at every meal and I may now become a coffee drinker. Never thought it would happen.
I'm excited for Idol tonight. Then tomorrow morning I'll be up early for an appearance on Fox 9 Morning News at 8:30. If you watch, email me what you think of my new hair. I'm not sure if I like it yet. Not long enough (?)
HEY! Now that I am back from vacation reality is starting to sink in. I now realize that the maid isn't coming to clean up after me, I can't eat until I'm about to pop, dessert after every meal is out of the question and I can't stay up until all hours of the night! I am still pretty tired from my trip to the Dominican Republic and I'm started to get stressed out. My house is a mess, I am behind on my emails, the laundry is piled up and I need to get some groceries. UGH! There just isn't enough time in the day, is there?

I have more to come but I am struggling to get everything done. My husband will not need the computer tonight so I hope to get them up after the show when I get home.
Tomorrow I will be at the Herberger's Store in Rosedale from 11 to 1. We are getting clothing donations for Goodwill and then in exchange those who donate get an awesome coupon to shop! Its a great deal and there is a good chance there may be a Tim Gunn siting at the store later in the afternoon. He's the prim and proper mentor from "Project Runway"!
OK, i am off to the Dominican Republic this week. I am sure there will be some really good stories when i get back. Please keep Moon and Producer Keith inline for me.

Ok, it's not as bad as all that. I can't help but feel a little too connected, though. You can't escape! Everybody can throw an electronic leash on you - email, cell phone, text, IM, all of the above via wireless web...yikes! I kinda miss the days when you could "let your machine get it" and pretend you are so cool you aren't home to even hear the phone ring. As you read this, I am in the Dominican Republic and yet I am still connected to all of you back in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Kinda cool...kinda pathetic!
I gotta get back to the beach. There are a few new Dominican friends here that want to hear more about how I used to walk to school, in the middle of a blizzard, uphill (both ways) in my bare feet!
