Kathy Griffin is one of my favorite comedians.  I have really come to appreciate her more thanks to her reality show "My Life on the D List" so when she announced she was coming to the Orpheum some friends and I jumped at the chance to get tickets.  The show sold out very quickly but then she added 4 more shows!  We ended up in the FRONT row for the Monday night show.  It was sooo exciting! 

Her assistant, Tom, came out first to pretend to arrange some stuff on the table that was set out for her.  He also poured some water into a glass of ice.  People recognized him from the TV show and started yelling his name (I did too of course)!

When Kathy came out, the crowd lept to its feet to greet their Queen.  She was so tiny!  She's maybe 5'3" and she is maybe 100 pounds.  I could totally fit her into my purse.

It was a good show and long too.  She talked politics a lot (I'm not big on political humor) and she talked a lot about her mom and the emmys - loved that!  I'm sure Kathy is just kicking herself that she didn't come over to say hello to me after the show.  I just KNOW we'd be best friends forever!  Or maybe she just kicked Tom.....
