Took Phoebe to the vet today. I caught her going outside her box a couple of times and that is really unusual for her to be a bad kitty. I figured something might be up. Luckily she has no big health problems but being 11 years old it may be getting a little harder for her to get into the high litter box. She could have a touch of arthritis. I went and got one that is lower to the ground and hope that does the trick.
One thing the vet said was that Phoebe is overweight. I guess to me, next to Fatty (aka Loki), she looks pretty svelt!
(Above, Phoebe's reaction to the vet's findings.)
We got on the subject of fat pets and a few listeners sent in these photos.
Holy Chow!!
This is Chi. Chi hasn't missed a meal in a while.
Now meet Charlie...
Jason sent this photo to us. He says, " My mom's cat - Charlie. He's a little more than 30 pounds. My nieces and nephews are terrified of him. He is big and very grouchy. He growls if one of the kids gets with in 5 feet of him. My niece wouldn't go into grandma's house because the cat was right by the door. He's surprisingly agile for a cat of his size. When he jumps off the counter - it sounds like an appliance it the floor."
I wouldn't want to fight for pillow space with Charlie!
