My husband Tom and I got our dog Maggie from the animal shelter when we lived in Nebraska and we have decided that when its time for a new one, we'll be visiting a shelter again - because Maggie has been the best friend I have ever had - she's our "Pound Dog" and surrogate daughter...if people are afraid to take a chance on some of these poor animals that need homes - they need to know that they are missing out on some of the best form of love they will ever know.
