Well, we all made it through another week. Getting out of bed this morning counted as the I made it through the week. Being up for an hour in the middle of the night with a daughter who had a stomache ache makes the previous statement true! On a bright note, I just paid $3.39 a gallon for gas!! I pulled up the station just as the lowered the price 5 cents. It seems a little sad that I get excited over gas that is below $3.40 a gallon. I can remember when I started driving, gas was only $0.99 per gallon. I know that dates me, but I can remember when gas was cheap. Oh well, it is the little things in life that can make a person happy sometimes! Happy Friday everyone!
Time Flies
I have to ask the question, where has the month of September gone? Also where has the year gone? In three months it will be Christmas. I am so not ready for it to be that time of year again and the start of a new year. It seems the older I get the faster time flies. My daughter is now 1 1/2 and I can still remember the day I meet her. It really does not seem that long ago. It is all sureal sometimes. I am happy to say though that I never wish to go back to a time when I did not have her. She is the sunshine on a rainy day. One smile from her and things seem to brighten up. :) Okay, enough of this, just something to ponder....
Short Work Week
Well, my short work week only lasted two days. My husband is out of town on a business trip and my daughter woke up with a 101.6 fever. Needless to say, I stayed home and took her to the doctor. We now have medicine to help her feel better. I hope that happens sometime this weekend, because my little girl is just not my little girl when she is sick... :(
The Fair
We made it to the fair last Saturday. I have to say it was fun! My daughter even had a good time looking at the animals in the birthing barn. She especially loved the lambs. She would wave to them when we looked at them. :) We also stopped in many of the other buildings on the grounds.
We stopped by the KS95 booth and picked up a couple of neat t-shirts and also a ticket the ren fest! YEAH! I really wanted to go and now we are going!
We also tried some of the food, well, too much of the food. I have to say my favorite was the "Sweet Martha's Cookies". They were well worth the wait in line. We bought a bucket and they did not last long after we got them home.
After all was said and done it was a good experience. We even found a free shuttle, which helped with cost. I believe we will be going again next year.
Friday!!
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am sure glad it is Friday. It has been one long, busy week. After being up here for 3 months, my husband and I are finally closing on our 2nd house in Iowa. We will finally only own 1 house!! That is a relief.
Being new to Minnesota we are headed to the fair tomorrow. Anyone have any good suggestions on must sees? I was born and lived my whole life in Iowa (until 3 months ago) and only made it to the state fair once. I figured that I should do the same here. I think we might go a little more often now that we are close!
Happy Friday Eveyone!
