6 Surprising Reason You're So Tired!!!

Thursday, September 24, 2009, 08:01 AM CST [General]

WebMD recently ran a piece about the most common reasons for feeling tired. Here are some:

    1. A hidden UTI: In some cases, fatigue may be the only sign of a urinary tract infection, reports WebMD. If you suspect something's up  talk to your doc. A urine test can quickly confirm a UTI.

    2. Your diet: If you're not eating enough, you will be tired. Calories = energy, my friends.

    3. Food allergies you didn't know you had: Some doctors believe that exhaustion could be a sign of hidden food allergies.

    4. Caffeine overload: You probably reach for more coffee when you're tired, but experts say that too much caffeine can sometimes backfire, causing you to feel more fatigued. .

    5. Undetected thyroid problems: Fatigue is one symptom of a thyroid condition called hypothyroidism. Fortunately, this is such a treatable thing . Most health experts concur that every woman should have her thyroid levels tested every few years (just a simple blood test) to rule out any such conditions (they're common in women).

    6.  Snoring Spouse

Are you sleepy today? What do you blame your fatigue on? The baby? Your job? Stress?

    Hope this helps you!

8 Things No One Ever Tells You About Marriage

Tuesday, September 22, 2009, 07:05 AM CST [General]

    1. You will look at the person lying next to you and wonder, Is this it? Forever?

    2. You'll work harder than you ever imagined.

    3. You will sometimes go to bed mad (and maybe even wake up madder).

    4. You will go without sex - sometimes for a long time - and that's okay.

    5. Getting your way is usually not as important as finding a way to work together.

    6. A great marriage doesn't mean no conflict; it simply means a couple keeps trying to get it right.

    7. You'll realize that you can only change yourself.

    8. As you face your fears and insecurities, you will find out what you're really made of.

Tree Impales Woman! Amazing Pictures!!! (Warning)

Monday, September 21, 2009, 06:20 AM CST [General]

    ..."rst.gmain(this);return false;" id="gmain_1">

A joy ride through the wilderness of Northern Idaho turned into a nightmare for 22-year-old Michelle Childers and her husband after a tree branch came crashing through a window of their truck - impaling Michelle in the neck.

Childers and her husband Daniel were driving along the Lochsa River in the mountains of North Central Idaho on Sept. 5 when the accident happened, KHQ-TV reported.

Michelle Childers literally didn't know what hit her.

"I asked (my husband) 'what where is it?' "Childers told the news station.

Her husband answered, "It's in your neck."

About an hour after the incident, Childers and her husband arrived at Lochsa Lodge near the Idaho/Montana border where a helicopter and ambulance were immediately called in.

Childers was airlifted to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Mont., where she underwent a six-hour operation to remove the 13-inch Spruce tree branch from her neck.

    She's now recovering at home.
