I've made a huge decision. No more added sugar or 'sugary' foods. I saw Jenny McCarthy's blog on Oprah.com about sugar and I was intrigued but not willing to give it up. I admit it, I love sugar. I like cookies for breakfast, cake and most candies. The problem is that I always feel so crappy afterwards and I go into that sugar coma. After my birthday yesterday, I woke up this morning and knew I had to do something about it. So, today is day one of giving up sugar.
I'll keep blogging about it and tell you honestly how I'm doing. I got a text this morning saying, "Lets put money down on how long melissa lasts without sugar. She wont make it past the weekend."
Wowzer...Bring it on babe!!

Good luck! You will feel a million times better....just give it a few days. I gave up sugar and meat the day after Easter. I practically lived on it my whole life and I feel better than I have in years. Funny thing is....I don't miss it at all and I don't feel deprived either. I ended up with so much energy that I took up biking after a hiatus of 30 years. I have owned my bike for 1 month and Thursday I hit the trails and city streets for a ride of 38.46 miles. I'm 50 and my goal is 50 miles in one day by the end of summer.
