A man from Chapel Hill, North Carolina was tired of someone stealing his McCain-Palin campaign signs from his yard.

The man has a degree in electrical engineering and hooked up a third sign to a power source for an electric pet fence and put up a surveillance camera.

A 9-year-old boy with an Obama-Biden sign grabbed the McCain-Palin sign and got jolted.

The boy's father was so upset that his son had been shocked, he showed up at the man's door, along with a sheriff's deputy.

The father said his son just wanted to see how the sign was put together but the homeowner said that the boy was going to swap out the signs.

No charges will be filed.
