I really think my son could quite possibly be a bowling prodigy....or maybe I am just playing the elated mother roll.
My son had a bowling tournament this past weekend. It was the Pepsi Qualifying Tournament that if you win you can advance to state and win scholoarships and stuff.
So on Saturday we went to Doyles in Crystal and he bowled. First, I would like to say my son is 7. He doesn't bowl with bumpers. He has a bowling bag and 2 balls that he uses. An 10lb for everything and an 8lb Sponge Bob Square Pants ball he calls the "Sleeper" ball because it picks up the "Sleeper" pins. Whatever that means.
Anyways, he was the youngest kid there. It was a lot of fun with people watching him. In the end, he bowled a 154, 156 & 127. His series total actual is 437. But for some reason, they have him at a high handicap. So his scores will actually read as follows 261, 263, % 234. I don't know why they have his handicap so high. His average is 140.
Anyways, I am so proud of my son. And to top it off, I won tickets this morning for the Twins Game tomorrow night VS the Angels on the "Have you been paying attention" quiz. He will be so excited. He loves baseball, thats the next sport hes got coming up in a few weeks and he rocks at that too.
I am such a proud mom
