How do you know if a guy likes you more than a friend?

I need advice.

I have know this guy for 10 years. We have kept in contact and over the past year or so we have been spending alot more time together. If I don't call him he usually calls me and we talk almost every day. 

He is 10 years older than me and I think that is why he is alittle hesitant. But every weekend we get together I feel we are getting a little closer.

I really want to tell him that I like him more than friends but I don't want to ruin our friendship because I feel so happy when I am around him.

Does he like me?  How should I tell him?
