Many listeners ask us for more pictures from our lives we lead off-the-air.
Usually, life is pretty mundane for my wife and I, but we did celebrate her 40th (she definately doesn't look it!) in Vegas. It was a surprise trip that I sprung on her about a week before. We met her mom Sandi and step-dad "Screwy Louie" there for a few days of fun.
Here are a few pics from the weekend.
This is the greatest waiter who ever lived. His name is Joe. We ate at Nove Italiano at The Palms Hotel. This was the night of Caley's birthday and it was maybe the best food/restaurant experience of our lives. They made Caley feel really special and got us a great table overlooking the "Strip".
Here's Pat. She was walking by with some friends and I asked her to press my "Wheel of Fortune" 'Spin' button. I really did! And it hit on 1000! That was $250 because it was a quarter machine. Blackjack and craps pretty much ate my lunch so I about broke even. I don't know about you, but I'm afraid of risking more than just a few bucks. This was the big highlight of the wagering portion of the weekend.
Saturday before dinner. This was a Huka bar. We didn't participate cuz it kind of freaked me out. To the best of my knowledge. a huka is a middle-eastern device that you smoke out of. Although hukas are used mainly to smoke hash, the bar was in the hotel were staying in, so we believe it was legal! I think it was just flavored herbs.
Later in the evening we stopped up to The Playboy Club. It sounds a little more exciting than it was for us. It was kind of dead up there, but it was only about 9:30pm. I think if I had a robe on people would've mistaken me for Hugh Hefner. Okay, maybe not.
Anyway, there are a few pics from our weekend. Hope you had a great one too.
See you tomorrow on-the-radio.
