I think I am gonna need like a week to recover from my crazy girls weekend! HA! Kelly, Katie, Geetah and I had such a fabulous time Saturday. Dinner was great...we had yummy steak and martinis at r Normans. You have got to try this little concoction...citrus vodka and blood orange juice...a little slice of heaven. lol! After dinner we headed upstairs to 7 and partied the night away. Good thing Kelly isn't gonna be back for a visit for another couple of months! I am WAAAY to old to party like that anymore! Sunday we went to The Uptown Grill for brunch and walked around a bit since it was so nice outside. Then last night I watched Desperate Housewives (i am so excited it is back) and then watched DIRT on fx (by far my fave tv show right now). Well I just thought I'd update you on the weekend I was so excited about. :) We took a million photos but Kelly has then so I will get them up once she sends them to me. In the words of one of the most brilliant lyricists of our time, "La Di Da Di, we likes to party"! Snoop Dogg is brilliant right?!?! Hehe. I am soooo excited for my girls night tonight. I just decided on the dress and shoes I will be wearing. Wow I am such a girl...I can't believe I tell you all of this nerdy stuff! Kelly and I are guna grab some lunch and do some shopping around downtown after I am off the air in an hour or so. I really am in need of a nap but I think I am guna have to just take one for the team and play this afternoon and into the night. lol Us girlies are guna try r Normans Steakhouse (I will let ya know how it is I promise) then head upstairs to 7 and party the night away! I am sure I will have some good stories and photos for you on Monday.
So yesterday I mentioned that Kelly and I were gonna meet some girls for happy hour. Well, with the nasty weather no one was really "feelin' it" SO Kelly and I headed to the MOA and shopped and shopped and shopped! hehe I got myself a new Juicy Couture summer sweatsuit, a couple little summer dresses and some fun new shoes! Nothing better than some retail therapy! After that we headed back to my house, got into our comfy loungewear, poured a glass of vino and watched American Idol. lol. We were bummed there was nothing good on after idol so we changed our clothes and grabbed a cab to Zelo for a little light late night dinner. :)
After I get off of work today we are heading to Kelly's home town (Pine City) and I think since the weather is like this we are gonna spend the night and leave early tomorrow (since I work on the air at 10am). We will see?? Then Saturday we are gonna get all dressed up and hit the town with Katie and a couple other girls. Whoo Hooo!
Kelly got here a little late yesterday but I was just thankful she made it. I picked her up and we went to my house to relax for a bit before heading to the Sip n' Sample event. It was at The View this time and oh my goodness the food was fantastic! I am waiting for some of the photo's to be sent to me so I can put them up. We had a really great time! It's a fun group of people. Of course we had to stay for the 1st part of the hockey game and then headed home. I think Kelly finished watching it but I went nighty night! hehe. I had an early morning meeting this morning and wanted to be on my game. :) I am not sure if I told you this but I am, "the voice" of a new show on 5 Eyewitness News that starts April 21st. I will be on it "live" on Fridays. More details to come! I am super stoked to be involved with it!!!!! OK enough for now...gotta finish up work so Kelly and I can do a little shopping before our happy hour tonight! See...I told ya girls weekend had begun! HA!
I am so excited! My friend Kelly just text messaged me from the airport in Austin, TX to let me know that her American Airline flight is one of the only one's getting out today. Thank God! I have plans for us to go to the Sip n' Sample event at The View tonight! (Wine and food...Priorities!! hehe). That last Sip n' Sample event was soooo much fun that I didn't want to miss this one. :) It is going to be a fun filled girls weekend. Can't wait!
