Tuesday, September 9, 2008, 09:16 AM CST [General]

Thank God!  hehe  Read below...if you are single you are guna enjoy it!  XOXO Dez

The Twin Cities are among the best places for singles, according to an annual ranking by Forbes.

Minneapolis-St. Paul was ranked third on the list, after Atlanta and San Francisco , in Forbes.com's 8th annual ranking. The Twin Cities are actually counted as two markets by the list, tied for No. 3.

The list looked at 40 of the largest U.S. cities, and rated them in seven categories, including a city's "cool factor," cost of living alone, culture, job growth, online dating, nightlife and the number of singles.

It was the first time Minneapolis-St. Paul cracked the top 10 and the it was the only Midwestern city named to the list. Other list-makers included: Washington , D.C. (5) Seattle (6), Boston (7), New York City (8), Orlando (9) and Phoenix (10).

    Dez n Jesse Ventura...I look like a CREEP-O! HA!

Friday, September 5, 2008, 10:00 AM CST [General]

So while I was at the fair, Teresa and I had decided to walk up to "machinery hill" to get a Gizmo (yummers).  On our way back we passed a little independent political booth and I happen to look in and see a guy that looked SO familiar.  Then I realized it was our old gov Jesse Ventura!!!  As you will see in this photo for some reason he looked dirty...not like dirty old man dirty...but dirt dirty!  lol  Maybe it was the fair lighting???  hehe  So there was a photographer and he asked if I wanted my photo with him?  Now, you know me...I never miss a photo opp. (HA!)  So he said sit down...I did...and Jesse never even turned to look at me!  So I just posed like a creepy stalker!  I can't stop laughing when I look at these photos...ENJOY!

    Montana vacation fun...FINALLY! :)

Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 10:30 AM CST [General]

I had such a great time on my lil' visit back home to Kalispell, MT.  I got in really late Monday night and my sis picked me up and we went to her house for a glass of wine, some ice cream and GIRL TALK!  hehe.  The next day was filled with mom and I shopping for all the stuff we needed for the cabin.  I don't know what it is...I mean I HATE running errands alone but I love running around and going the the grocery store, Costco etc...with my momma.  It's somehow fun!  That night we went and had a yummy steak dinner at our favorite lil' place and made a quick stop and the cemetery where my brother is.  It's always hard but I have to go see him when I am home.  My aunt Nunie, uncle Tim and friend Heather met us back at the house and we sat out on the porch and chatted all night!  The next day Katie and Sean (my friends from here) flew in and we headed straight to the mountain for an afternoon of four wheeling!  I grew up doing it but didn't realize what a fabulous driver I am!  hehe.  That night mom and dad made the BEST fish feed ever!  They just got back from Alaska and brought salmon, halibut, shrimp and scallops home!!!!  I was in heaven!  The next morning we got up and headed for the day on beautiful Flathead Lake (the largest lake west of the Mississippi).  We stopped at Wild Horse Island and saw deer (even a little bambi) down at the shore and some big horn sheep.  It was pretty cool...again I did grow up there but I forget how awesome it is!  Then we stopped at a neat lil spot to have din din and low and behold Phil Jackson (Lakers coach) came walking in.  My dad was like a little kid...he could have cared less if it was like Madonna or something but PHIL JACKSON...he just couldn't get over it!  HA!   So Katie tried to sneak a photo of him...you will see it.  We are such dorks.  That night we headed home to get all our stuff for the cabin and were on our way.  We wanted to get out there even though it was late so we could wake up there.  It's my favorite!  It's so beautiful and peaceful.  We spent that day out on the water and found this super scary rope swing which we all did!  It was like 25 feet off the water...I have photo's of that too.  It took me like 10 minutes to actually jump!  lol.  That afternoon my grandma, aunt Tammy, cousin Tiffy, aunt Dede and cuz Dillon came over from Idaho and my aunt Nunie and uncle Tim and cousins Riley, Beau and Shantelle (who made cheerleading while I was there!!) all came out too.  The cabin in a nutshell is LOTS of awesome food and drinks, wake boarding, wake surfing, water skiing, rope swinging, jet skiing, karaoke singing, game playing (Mad Gab...so funny) and more food and drinks!  I am bruised from head to toe.  :)  Katie, Sean and I left Sunday afternoon and on our way to the airport we stopped by the cemetery again real quick so I could say goodbye. :(  By the time we got home I was SOOOOO pooped!  This was one of those trips where I needed a vacation from my vacation.  HA!   I took tons of photos and they will be up soon.

    XOXO
