    Dez's Diary - January 21st, 2008

    Sunday, March 9, 2008, 09:36 PM CST [Dez's Diary]

    Dear Diary...

Time sure does fly by this time of year! I can't believe January is more than half way over. Although with this kind of weather I will take it! HA! Thank goodness I leave for Cabo in less than two weeks! Woohoo!

My plan was to hibernate ALL weekend and it was pretty successful. Kelly was in town from Texas on Friday so we looked at a couple of wedding venues for her and then hit the liquor store to get some flirtini (champagne martini) supplies. Then a quick stop at the grocery store for some girly snacks to stay in for the evening. Our friend Cotty joined us and we had a blast chatting, watching Sex in the City and even playing my Sex in the City board game. lol. Such dorks I know. I worked Saturday morning and Kelly had a flight to catch. I did some housework (gag me with a spoon) and then was ready for a night on the couch just me myself and I UNTIL my friend KJ called and had a brilliant idea involving take out Chinese food and wine. hehe. Yesterday morning I had an great appearance at Cub Foods in St Louis park (thanks to all the fun early morning shoppers), followed by football with friends. Fabulous weekend all in all.

Tonight I am going to attempt to make it to my circuit class and then I am in the recording studio. Busy busy busy!

    Hope your weekend was great!

    XOXO

    Dez's Diary - January 4th, 2008

    Sunday, March 9, 2008, 09:35 PM CST [Dez's Diary]

    Dear Diary.....

Happy New Year!!! I rang it in with the fam and TONZ of friends in Montana. We had a big ole' party at my parents house but unfortunately I had to catch a flight back home at 6 am new years day but I was a trooper. :) So far I am a big fan of 2008 and the end of 2007 was fantastic! I headed to the airport on the 22nd only to turn right back around. My flight was cancelled. GRRR! Then again while I was standing there waiting for them to figure out my new flight I heard the rumblings and turned around to see the little mini man Prince and his super tall (not to mention super model-ish) girlfriend being whisked thru security. Oh the life of a rock star...he had his "people" check in for him while he waited in the limo outside. HA! My people had the holiday off!!! lol. SO anyway I caught a cab to Julie's where an "ugly sweater" party was in the works. I was the only one not dressed up but Brian did donate his reindeer antlers to me. Hehe. It was a blast and took away the sting of leaving the next day bright and early. SO I finally made it to Kalispell, MT (with my dad's Nintendo WII in hand) and the celebrations began. Holy food! Christmas eve night we spent at my Uncle Tim and Aunt Nunies house with a little appetizer party. We played games and my cousins opened one of their gifts which was the Xbox game ROCK BAND! Oh my gosh it is so much freakin' fun, I truly believe I am meant to be a drummer now...HA!! Christmas morning was great, opened gifts with mom, dad and April and her new boyfriend Josh then everyone came over for dinner. Good times. Let's see, we spent one night out at the cabin, we had a bonfire by the lake and ate dinner at the lodge then played Monopoly til 4 in the morning. I kicked everyone's butts!!!!! I slept so great with the sound of the crackling fire in living room. The rest of the trip was filled with friends, family and good food. Of course in true Dez like fashion I got a terrible cold by the 3rd day home and had to go to the doc but didn't miss a beat. :) I hope your holiday was a wonderful as mine.

It is nice to be back though. I have just taken a couple days to recooperate. I feel like a million bucks now and am ready for the weekend. :) Tonight I am going with Katie and her mom to a party to celebrate her mom's birthday. Tomorrow, after I am off the air, I am heading to Le Sueur with Julie, Brian, Chrissy and Heidi for Greggers (Julie and Brian's dad) retirement party. Its gonna be quite the shin dig I hear ;)!

    Here's to a fabulous 2008!

Thanks so much for listening to me while you work. :)

    Dez's Diary - December 10th, 2007

    Sunday, March 9, 2008, 09:34 PM CST [Dez's Diary]

    Dear Diary......

Thanks to all that who helped "Stuff the Bus" with us this weekend! It was so freakin' cold...we REALLY appreciate you leaving your warm homes to donate toys! It was a great success because of you!

Stuff the Bus pretty much sums up my weekend. hehe. I worked most of it BUT on Friday night when I was done (around 9 after I got my warm and cozy pj's on HA!) neighbor Ron and I watched "Love Actually" (perfect for the holidays), ordered pizza and had a glass of vino to stay warm. lol. So much fun. Saturday morning I worked on the air then went to lunch with my friend Joe for his birthday then went to do some Bus Stuffing again. I was sooooo cold afterwards that I went right home and went to bed. Sunday morning Ron and I had our weekly "coffee talk" then I went to STUFF STUFF STUFF the bus again! I stopped to do a little shopping on my way home, then I ended up at Julie's to see all her fun Christmas gifts she purchased over the weekend. This is such a magical time of year!!!!

Speaking of "winter fun", I have photos to put up from Ron's birthday "skating" party at the Depot last weekend! HA...it was so funny! I hadn't ice skated since I was like 12! I totally wiped out but finally got the hang of it. I cant wait to go again, this time maybe outside at Rice Park in St Paul???

This week I am going to try to finish up ALL my shopping and get things off in the mail. I have dinner plans Wednesday night at The Mission with momma Mia, Tor and Kelly for Xmas. I haven't seen Mia for way too long! I miss her. Then Friday Julie and I head up to Lutsen for our annual ski trip with my KS95 winners! It is always such a blast. I tell ya, before winter is over you have got to make the trip Lutsen! Then I leave the 22nd for my Montana Christmas with the fam! I cant wait!

Thanks for listening while you work! Have a great day and try to stay warm!

    XOXO

    Dez's Diary - November 29th, 2007

    Sunday, March 9, 2008, 09:33 PM CST [Dez's Diary]

    Dear Diary.....

Happy late Thanksgiving! Thanks to everyone that joined me at The Turkey Day 5k on Thanksgiving morning. I don't think it would feel like Thanksgiving without starting my day off with that! I think it's the 5th year I have co-hosted it. Right when it was over I headed to the airport to join my family (mom, dad, sis, grandma, aunts, uncles, cousins etc) in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for turkey and all the fixins at my aunt Steph's. The food (as always) was amazing! YUMMY! It was fun to spend a long weekend with the fam. I don't get to see some of them very often. We played games, built a ginger bread house with the kids, got pedicures at my aunts Spa (Zi Spa), shopped a little AND here's the big one...my mom and I got tattoos!!!!!! Yep! That's right, MY MOM! Now almost everyone in my family has a version of the tattoo that my brother had! My cousin Nathan is a tattoo artist so he has done them all! Its pretty cool having a memory of my brother right on me. I, of course, have other tattoos but this is moms one and only (and my brother would think she was CRAZY!! lol) I knew she wanted one but I never thought she's actually do it. Yes...I have a crazy family and I love it!

Since I have been back I have been fighting this stupid cold. :( Guess traveling can do that too ya. I have been trying to rest up cuz my friend Kelly, who moved to Austin a couple months ago, will be here for the weekend staying with me. Major girlie weekend planned. Can't wait.

I think this afternoon I will finally get my suitcase unpacked (yes I am a slacker) and clean and do laundry. I may even pull out my Christmas decorations? I have not decorated for a couple years...I know, you can call me Scrooge! But ya know the last couple of years we were in Mexico over Christmas so it was pretty easy to just kinda skip it. This year we are spending it in Montana like we used to. I am actually getting kinda pumped for snowmobiling, skiing and fun in the snow!

Thanks for listening to me while you work! Have a great day.

    XOXO

    Dez's Diary - November 13th 2007

    Sunday, March 9, 2008, 09:32 PM CST [Dez's Diary]

    Dear Diary.....

Hi! This is gonna be the last nice 60 degree day in a while so get outside and enjoy it!

My weekend was a bust! I was supposed to go out of town to see my friend and we had to cancel at the last minute so I totally laid low and kind of "pretended" I was out of town (dang it...the truth always comes out on here...hehe). I watched "Chuck and Larry" and "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and laughed my booty off. Sunday was spent with Ronald, mimosa's and brunch baby!

Last night I was in the recording studio and I think I just about finished my next song! I LOVE it and can't wait for you to hear it. My producer Shaun is taking it to LA at the end of the month the get the final mix on it. :) I was so excited and had way too much red bull to just go home and go to bed so I met up with a friend for a glass of vino to wrap up my night.

I just signed my lazy butt up for spin class for this afternoon and I will probably pass out! Seriously, I haven't been in like a month! Then tonight is dinner with Julie, Joe and Mike. We have all been craving Chino Latino! Yummy!

Have a great day and thanks for listening while you work! Good luck Thursday with Birthday Bucks!!!

    XOXO
