Minneapolis is Money

The economy may be slow now but this is some good news: Forbes magazine named Minneapolis as one of the best cities in the nation to earn a living. The publication ranked Minneapolis second because it is home to more of the nation's top companies per capita than any other city in the U.S. Minneapolis ranks just behind Houston, TX. Boston, MA came in third, followed by Washington, D.C. and New York City. To determine its rankings, Forbes researchers looked at the 40 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. They gauged the quality of business environment by how many of the Forbes 400 best big comanies and 200 best small companies were headquartered there. Researchers also factored in the city's median income, the cost of living, and job-growth forecasts into the rankings.
